FYI, the picture you see here is the back of the book. :)
Finally got around to finishing this book! Well, actually, I'm halfway there when it comes to this story, but I finished the first book. I'm currently working on two books, because I decided to split this story into two books instead of one. Reason why is because I want to send this first book to the copyright company and have them copyright it, and I heard they take months to "copyright" it for some reason, so while I wait, I can finish up the second book.
Now, working on this was incredibly difficult to do because I had to make this all by myself. I had no one to help me finish it faster. If I hired a writer, penciller, colorist, and a letterist, this book would've been done in a month, easily, but I had to do all that by myself. I had to write, draw, letter, ink, and color the whole thing on my own. I also designed the characters. That is a lot of work, and of course, it would take even longer to complete it. Not only that, but even drawing one panel on a page would take me about an hour or two to complete, then the next panel, I have to spend about the same time working on it, and that's just with a pencil. Generally, it's about 4 to 6 panels per page, so you can imagine just how long it took me to get all that done. It was seriously testing my patience, because it took longer than I expected. I got it done because it's been a dream of mine to complete my own comic book, so I had enough fuel, enough drive, to actually complete it.
It's like if a lawnmower guy has to cut up the lawn all by himself. It would take him 4 hours to finish working on the lawn, but if he had two other guys to work with him to finish up the entire lawn, the lawn work would be done in an hour. How that works is one is a trimmer, and the other is the leafblower, so three guys working on the lawn at the same time would speed up the process. It's the same difference with working on a comic book.
Well, now, I gotta contact the copyright place and discuss how I go about copyrighting it. Wish me luck!
Thank you for reading!
