While I'm practicing tattooing, I'm also working on my own comic book. My comic book is called Achievoman, and I've been working on the stories of him in the past four years.
It is incredibly difficult to write a decent, cohesive story based on one character, especially his origin. About two years ago, I already wrote a complete story, but it wasn't an origin story, but a story of his super villain. Last year, I felt an origin story would be a good starting point for Achievoman.
It's really hard work to make a comic book based on a superhero, because it has to be written with heart and a lot of back and forth throughout the story so it would feel complete, smooth, and cohesive.
Reason why it took me four years is because I had to design Achievoman as well as supporting characters. I had to come up with his friends, family, and arch nemesis. Had to design Achievoman as well as his alter ego. I had to make him completely different compared to the many superheroes that have already been done. I had to make his origin story unique to him. Also, Achievoman is a deaf character, so I had to get creative to incorporate his sign language into a comic book. That is not an easy task. I can do it, and it'll be done, but it will take a long time for me to finally complete one origin comic book of Achievoman. After that, I can't guarantee I can do more Achievoman comic books, but I do know that I definitely want to complete at least one comic book on my own.
I have no team, no editor, no writer. It's a comic book all done by one person, myself. It's going to look professional, and clean. The art is going to be beautiful. The story is going to be decent, at least, but it'll have some plotholes here and there, but overall, the story is good enough for me.
Making and publishing my own comic book has been my dream since I was a kid, so this is pretty much a big deal to me, and I want to make this happen so bad, so you WILL see this happen. This comic book WILL be made, no matter what. If I get fans after this, great, but if not, then that's fine. I'm pretty much only doing this to ACHIEVE my goal that I've always wanted to do since I was a 9 year old kid, so making a comic book of my character and then publishing it will make me feel very successful!
